Catching Up with Marsha

MarshaMarsha has spent much of her time since returning to California in 2004 on the research and design of American projects for Anonymous 4. In usual fashion, she works closely with A4’s management company and recording company to coordinate touring and promotion both for the quartet and for the group’s collaborations with guest artists.

Soon after moving to the Bay Area, she spent a year as a visiting assistant professor at Stanford University, where she taught medieval music history, coached singers interested in medieval English song, and started an Americana vocal group. She continues to teach courses and conduct workshops and residencies on medieval music and on Anglo-American sacred and secular song.

Marsha has also joined the Bay Area shape-note singing community, a wonderfully diverse bunch who love to gather together as many people as they can to sing with all their hearts and souls.
